Our antimicrobial frameless aluminium and glass infrared heating panels with antimicrobial coating, this is an agent that interferes with the growth and reproduction of bacteria.
Antimicrobial finishes, in particular, help prevent and restrict the spread of harmful bacteria such as E. coli, Listeria and Pseudomonas on contact surfaces.
The hygiene H panels are suitable for hospitals and clean rooms, where foreign bodies are disruptive to the process, using this specially treated infrared panel, reduces the presence of harmful bacteria, whilst still giving the innovative and energy efficient infrared heating expected from a Yandiya®panel.
Glass panels are coated on black with antimicrobial powered coating.

WHAT IS ANTIMICROBIAL TECHNOLOGY?
Antimicrobial Technology describes the collective knowledge, expertise and methods of using additives to create products that are permanently protected against microbes.
WHAT DOES ANTIMICROBIAL MEAN?
Antimicrobial is used to describe substances which demonstrate the ability to reduce the presence of microbes, such as bacteria and mould.
WHAT TYPES OF ANTIMICROBIAL ARE THERE?
Many substances can be described as antimicrobial; such as disinfectants, antibiotics and of course Antimicrobial Additives.
WHAT TYPES OF ANTIMICROBIAL ADDITIVE ARE THERE?
There are four mains types of Antimicrobial Additive that are based on Silver Ion, Copper, Zinc and Organic technologies:
SILVER ION ANTIMICROBIAL ADDITIVES:
suitable for deployment in a broad range of materials and applications, including paints, coatings, textiles, polymers and other material types.
ZINC ANTIMICROBIAL ADDITIVES:
well-known antibacterial and antifungal compound.
COPPER ANTIMICROBIAL ADDITIVES:
can provide antimicrobial protection in preservative and hygienic applications, with substrates such as paints, coatings and polymers being most suitable.
ORGANIC ANTIMICROBIAL ADDITIVES:
including phenolic biocides, quaternary ammonium compounds (QAC or QUAT) and fungicides (Thiabendazole)
PROTEIN DAMAGE
Proteins are essential for the biological systems of life. Any damage to these components causes the failure of essential functions such as energy production.
CELL MEMBRANE DAMAGE
By disrupting the microbes membrane, its structural integrity is compromised, which can cause essential nutrients to leak out and catastrophic structural failure.
OXIDATIVE DAMAGE
Antimicrobials can cause increased levels of reactive oxygen species, which result in damage to the internal systems of the microbe.
DNA INTERFERENCE
The genetic material of the bacteria is disrupted, ultimately stopping the bacteria from being able to replicate by blocking the copying of their genetic material.
